La clase de antropología del desarrollo / estudios internacionales del día miércoles 25 de abril será abierta para el público en general. En la clase habrá presentación de la película “Silencio roto: 16 nikkeis”. Contaremos con la participación de la Sra. Kamena Takara, quien tenía solo siete meses de haber nacido cuando desaparecieron a su padre., el Sr. Juan Takara. No lo pierdan! Los esperamos.
Hasta la fecha, la película se ha presentado en la Universidad de Tokio y en Okinawa Christian University. A continuación podrán ver el tráiler de la obra.

Descripción de la película: Entre los desaparecidos forzados de la dictadura militar de Argentina hay 16 nikkeis de quienes se tratan en esta obra. Durante tres décadas no se ha sabido sobre este hecho (hasta la fecha hay 17 nikkeis desaparecidos), debido a un silencio absoluto, de carácter multifacético. ¿Quiénes fueron los que se quedaron callados durante tanto tiempo? ¿Por qué? ¿Cómo es que llegó a romperse ese silencio? La película es una especie de etnografía en video, donde las entrevistas con los familiares, amigos y conocidos de las víctimas forman un mosaico de narrativas que nos permiten ver los diversos contextos entrelazados de la comunidad nikkei y la sociedad argentina de la época. No la pierdan! Vale la pena que vengan hasta Yokohama!

Ms. Kamena Takara will also join us and give us a direct message and testimony. She was only seven month- old baby when her father, Mr. Juan Takara, had been abducted. Description of the film: Among the “desaparecidos” (those who were abducted and killed by the military government of Argentina) there were 16 Nikkei, the movie is about them. Almost nothing have been told about them for three decades (in fact, there are 17 missing nikkeis as for), due to an absolute silence in different levels of their community. Who kept silence for so long time? Why? How did that silence break? The film is a kind of video ethnography, where interviews with family members, friends and acquaintances of the victims form a mosaic of narratives that let us see the complicated and interlaced contexts of Nikkei community and the Argentine society of the time. Do not lose it! It’s worth coming all the way to Yokohama!
